Food Services Material Coordinator – WPB

The Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission is to provide Naval Warfare Centers, the Fleet, and other customers with accurate undersea, surface, and in-air three-dimensional tracking data and other unique Atlantic test facilities. In support of Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), and Fleet readiness assessment and training. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments.

Responsible for the coordination of Food Service functions between the Administrative office, the Commissary, and the Main Dining Facility on the AUTEC Project.


  • Ensure there is enough quality and quantity of supplies on hand which are maintained, issued, prepared, and served in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Maximo input on a daily basis

  • Stores Web ordering and cost analyzing for ration cost.

  • Complete all Food orders by analyzing Menus (Frozen, Chill, Dry and Produce).

  • Commissary Inventory, Daily input +/- into Maximo (Issue).

  • Weekly and Monthly inventory

  • FCA- Monthly & Quarterly(Boats and Food Services)

  • Strong Working Relationship with Vendors and DLA (ongoing development and research for new items to keep the menu fresh and update for menu variety).

  • Updating processes and procedures as changes are constantly being made in Maximo and Navy Knowledge Website.

  • Analyzing Ration Costs Vs Menu’s and Inventory Calculating our ration cost on a weekly basis.

  • Maintain an Inventory Check List of items brought in or out of the commissary and to validate it matches in Maximo.

  • Key player on Projects to assist in the running and improving of Food Services through excellent knowledge of Microsoft Application (Development Planning and execution of those programs) Knowledge of the Food Services operations.

  • Researching items to be purchased that would be most beneficial for the cooks and or customers experience in the dining hall and keeping Food Services on budget.

  • Execution of the ongoing Menu Project that had developed in order to integrate the updated products Food Services have on hand.

  • Updated menu items are currently being created as to produce an issue sheet of what needs to be pulled for the week to match the menu.

  • Maintain weekly menus in a rotation so the weekly menu has a diversity of food options for patrons.

  • Producing month end reports in a timely manner which meets with Food Services monthly/quarterly goals.

  • Assists the Food Services Manager with projects.

  • Other duties as required


  • High school graduate or equivalent.

  • Experience working in an institutional type food service or military supply environment and Data entry preferred.

  • Must be P/C literate with a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Flexible work schedule including weekends/holidays.

  • Ability to multi-task, learn and implement new programs/procedures and be flexible in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to learn and execute programs applicable to the AUTEC / DSCP Supply network (i.e. MAXIMO, and STORS).

  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, and capable of working with limited supervision.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance.

  • Valid Driver’s License and passport will be required.
