Reports to: Human Resource Manager

Location: 1603 Court Street, Syracuse NY 13208

Full-Time: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

Our focus is supporting individuals by ways of residential housing, mental health and clinical services, and immersing our participants in community engagement. Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive employee to advertise and recruit new staff for our agency. This individual will also assist with general operations of the Human Resource Department including records maintenance, background compliance and department tasks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, facilitating and implementing all phases of the recruitment process among multiple different programs

  • Screening candidates and maintaining communications with interviewing managers

  • Representing the agency at job fairs, college fairs, etc.

  • Collaborating with hiring managers to establish and maintain recruiting procedures

  • Verifying candidate references and credentials, verifying experience and information is completed in a timely and accurate manner

Education & Experience

Associate's Degree in related field plus 2 years' recruiting or community engagement experience, required. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred. Strong organization, people skills and computer/data base management skills, required. ADP experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must respect confidentiality. Must have a moderately flexible schedule. Must be able to independently perform recruitment related activities. Must be able to travel and attend local conferences, trainings, and meetings. Must have professional phone etiquette.

Conditions of Employment

Must possess a valid driver’s license and transportation.
