Upholstery Associate

PeopleReady of Syracuse, NY is now hiring Upholstery Associates! Reporting to the Lead Hand, at our manufacturing and distribution center, this role is responsible for measuring, cutting and installing vinyl onto required products. We are looking for a candidate who is resourceful, who is able to meet deadlines and work with others under supervision in a team environment.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $19 / hour

What you'll be doing as a Upholstery Associate:

• Measure and cut material using templates

• Fit, install, and secure vinyl material on frames, using staple gun

• Keeping up to date with new materials or methods used in repair work

• Inspect equipment and material identify the cause of errors, problems or other defects.

• Wearing all designated personal protective equipment at all times, when required.

• Any other duties assigned or required

Available shifts:

 Shift Timings - 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

• 2-5 years experience in upholstering equipment and/or furniture using different types of vinyl.

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Best practices/ good knowledge of fabrics and upholstery methods

• Able to carry material to and from equipment up to 50lbs
