The Carpenter is responsible for a wide variety of tasks. Interpreting design drawings, the carpenter constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, metal studs, and wallboard to project specifications. Essential Function: -Perform remodel projects from demo to clean up. -Familiarity with standard construction layout and framing techniques for wood and light metal framing.-Perform layout in all aspects of the carpentry trade - walls, millwork, MEP, etc. -Rough framing with wood and light gauge metal framing. -Finish work - drywall finishing, flooring, ceilings, millwork, trim, etc. -Door, frames, window and hardware coordination and installation. -Finish carpentry skills including wood trim and cabinet installation.Position Requirements:-Self-motivated and dependable -Functions effectively as part of a team -Strong decision making/problem solving skills. -Must be ready, willing, and able to travel if/when necessary. -Minimum of five years of carpentry experience in commercial & residential remodeling work-Strong ability to read drawings and specifications. -Ability to visit entire job site (including stairs and elevated structures) -Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle. -Reliable transportation to get to and from job sites both in and out of town.-Must be available to work nights and weekends when needed.
