As a Providence caregiver, you'll apply your specialized training to deliver world-class health with human connection and make a difference every day through your extraordinary care. 6 North, Cardiac Telemetry is a 32-bed unit with capabilities for telemetry cardiac monitoring. It is an exciting, high paced environment for those interested in caring for patients who require a higher level of care, prior to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) or CICU (Cardiac Intensive Care). Patient diagnoses cared for on this unit include Cardiovascular disorders such as Congestive Heart Failure, history of congenital heart disorders, cardiac arrythmias, chest pain/MI, post open-heart surgery transfers from the CICU. In addition to surgical, renal, and medical diagnoses. This posting is for multiple openings of a Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry at Sacred Heart Medical Center, Spokane. We Offer 12 hour and 08-hour day, evening, night or variable shifts as well as on-call, part time and full-time opportunities. Skills learned and utilized on this unit: Continuous cardiac monitoring, arrhythmia recognition and intervention. Permanent and temporary cardiac pacemakers. IV infusions of antihypertensives, antiarrhythmics, Regular Insulin, Heparin, and advanced heart failure medications. Care of patients with chest tubes. Care of High flow & BiPAP patients. Required qualifications: Graduation from an accredited nursing program. Current Washington Registered Nurse (RN) license Current Basic Life Support (BLS) at time of hire. Card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider), American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), - or- Military Training Network (MTN) - (BLS Provider) upon hire. Experience Required for Staff RN: 1 year Nursing Experience Experience Required for Fellow RN: 1 year Nursing experience but new to specialty of hire Experience Required for Resident RN: Graduation from an accredited nursing program and is newly licensed with 12 months of experience or less.
