It is an exciting, high paced environment for those interested in caring for patients who require a higher level of care, prior to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) or CICU (Cardiac Intensive Care). Patient diagnoses cared for on this unit include Cardiovascular disorders such as Congestive Heart Failure, history of congenital heart disorders, cardiac arrythmias, chest pain/MI, post open-heart surgery transfers from the CICU. In addition to surgical, renal, and medical diagnoses. This posting is for multiple openings of a Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry at Sacred Heart Medical Center, Spokane. We Offer 12 hour and 08-hour day, evening, night or variable shifts as well as on-call, part time and full-time opportunities. Skills learned and utilized on this unit: Continuous cardiac monitoring, arrhythmia recognition and intervention. Permanent and temporary cardiac pacemakers. IV infusions of antihypertensives, antiarrhythmics, Regular Insulin, Heparin, and advanced heart failure medications. Care of patients with chest tubes. Care of High flow & BiPAP patients.
