ASM Global Security Coordinator in Shreveport, Louisiana
POSITION: Security Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Security
REPORTS TO: Security & Parking Garage Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt Part Time Hourly
Summary
ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Security Coordinator at the Shreveport Convention Center/Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport, Louisiana. Under direction of the Security & Parking Garage Manager, the Part Time Security Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include the following functions in accordance with ASM policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, organize and direct security personnel as needed
Organize and maintain departmental records
Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment and reorder when necessary
Coordinate, schedule and act as liaison with SPD and EMS services as required at the facility
Assist with implementing of safety and training programs for SCC personnel
Maintain database of accident/incident reports for the facility and distribute to appropriate staff
Assist in creating badges for new hires
Assist with payroll processing and upkeep of related paperwork
All other duties as Assigned
Qualifications
Good communication skills;
Must be 18 years of age or older
Excellent customer service skills
Must be able to pass a background check to include a credit history report and meet corporate minimum requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Assit training employees; assigning and directing work.
Supervise, motivate, and develop security guards
Working Conditions
The working hours are scheduled based on the needs the facility. PART-TIME ON-CALL scheduling.
There is no guarantee of hours on a weekly basis.
Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends and holidays and can work flexible schedules
NON-SLIP SHOES REQUIRED.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma,
Security experience
Supervisor experience
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of Criminal law as it relates to the parameters of security enforcement.
Ability to learn and enforce Policies and Procedures of SMG/SCC Security Department.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Develop and maintain harmonious working relationships internally and with all departments.
Manage delicate situations, sometimes in public, in a professional and diplomatic manner; Stay calm in emergency situations in order to make critical, immediate decisions
Operate a motor vehicle
Operate telecommunication and radio devices
Work effectively under pressure and produce accurate results
Work independently and exercise good judgment
Computer Skills
Computer Skills to include MS Office, Electronic time keeping System, preferably Etime experience
Operate surveillance equipment.
