Job Description

Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor / Project Quantity Surveyor

Business Line: Program, Cost, Consultancy

Project sub-teams:

• Public / Private building

• Civil Infrastructure & Metro Railway

• MEP works

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying duties for MEP Works including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, tender evaluation, cashflow forecast, contract administration, variation, final account, etc.

• Supervise and manage the MEP Works taking off from drawings and pricing for cost estimates, tender documents, etc.

• Leading and coaching junior staff in delivery of services, including checking on the works done by junior staff

• Collaborate and develop good relationship with clients and stakeholders internally and externally

• Attend meetings and site inspections when required

• Comply with the Company’s QA requirements and best practice

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor degree holder in Quantity Surveying discipline; (possession of non-Degree/Degree in other discipline with relevant or related postgraduate qualification in Quantity Surveying may also be considered)

• At least 6 years relevant quantity surveying experience in construction projects, preferably gained within Quantity Surveying Consultant Firm

• Corporate Member of Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (MHKIS) or equivalent (minimum 2 years)

• Enthusiasm and ambition for success with proven practical experience in handling any of the below works: - civil infrastructure projects, metro railway projects, public sector building projects, private building development, and/or MEP works, is advantageous

• Good leadership and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and lead a team to achieve success working in collaborative team environment

• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Cantonese

• Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of Project Quantity Surveyor

• Candidate with experience in working with Housing Authority or Architectural Services Department projects shall have preference

Preferred qualifications:

• For civil infrastructure & metro railway / public sector works, candidate shall have practical experience, interest and willingness to participate in NEC3/4/HK ECC Forms of Contract. We can provide you with great opportunities to engage in HK public sector projects adopting this procurement method.

• For building/ MEP works, candidate with practical experience, interest and willingness in working with Housing Authority or Architectural Services Department projects is an advantage

• MEP Engineering professionals with MEP cost management experience will also be considered

• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Project Quantity Surveyor ; or

• Candidate without post-chartered experience of the recognized qualifications will be considered as Quantity Surveyor/ Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
