Applicant's duties: perform legal research and analysis, drafting persuasive prehearing statements, legal briefs, legal memos, memoranda Applicant is expected to draft and review motions, written pleadings, and ensure the usage of proper citation style, ensuring compliance with Immigration Court requirements, and keep the law firm up-to-date with such requirements; Applicant's everyday responsibilities include dealing with clients, helping them to navigate the bureaucracy that surrounds immigration law, and explaining them the various immigration processings. Applicant is also expected to support the attorney for case file preparation for asylum, withholding of removal, and convention against torture, as well as: - directly support the attorney on business visa cases, such as H-1B, E-1, E-2, EB-5 investor visas, EB-2, L- 1A, L-1B, Trade Treaty Visas, O Visas, J Visas, and E-3 Visas, - keep constant communication with the main immigration agencies, such as USCIS, ICE, CBP, FBI, DHS, OBIM for Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, and claims/inquiries filing, - keep communication with National Visa Center (NVC), requesting updates on cases at consular level (or in need to get to consular level), and filing inquiries, if needed. - prepare clients for consular interviews
