Senior HR Generalist

Job Description:

The Sr. HR Generalist will work with the Business Unit and Divisional Human Resources to drive Human Resources strategy and compliance and will need to find top talent, retain talent, engage talent, and implement best-in-class Human Resources practices.

  • Responsibility will include areas such as talent acquisition, employee and talent development, performance management, onboarding, training, employee relations, spearheading employee social and community-based functions, EHS, D&I initiatives, community outreach, and HR projects and programs development/improvement. Work closely with other Human Resources colleagues on various business activities.

  • Use a strategic Human Resources approach to the business while also being a “roll up the sleeves” generalist able to tackle the daily challenges and tasks.

  • Coach and develop leaders in the organization and be a sounding board for Business Managers; Design and implement leadership development programs Counsel, advise and coach management on a variety of Human Resources related business and employee relation issues.

  • Ensure consistent and fair treatment of employees throughout the business, lead workforce investigations, and necessary improved performance actions, and corrective actions.

  • Conduct annual talent reviews, participate in compensation audits, and facilitate the top grading talent in a performance driven environment.

  • Review/approve staffing requirements, oversee talent acquisition and local diversity outreach programs, recruit for positions and partner with divisional recruiter on more challenging recruiting objectives.

  • Maintain the monthly headcount for the business and partner with the Business Controllers and Human Resources Director on monthly headcount projections.

  • Conduct performance review tracking, cyber security training tracking, initiate payroll data changes, and maintain records.

  • Partner with EHS/Safety Committee on safety initiatives and compliance training.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related discipline

  • 2 years experience in Human Resources roles of increasing responsibility, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, the desire to connect with employees, and the ability to coach others

  • Ability to influence managers and leaders throughout AMETEK

  • Ability to plan out, implement, and monitor strategic programs to advance business objectives

  • Must be comfortable being the sole HR practioner on site, able to self manage day to day, set personal milestones and schedule, and a self-starter with a bias for action in a performance driven culture.

  • Intermediate MS Excel skills with the ability to create pivot tables, conditional formatting, and v-lookups.

  • Must be willing to travel up to 30% for the time (flexible with arrangements)

  • Experience with Human Resources tools such as SuccessFactors, ADP Report processing, LinkedIn Recruiter, LinkedIn learning, and TalentLMS preferred
