We are seeking a passionate logistics professional that has hands-on experience managing direct to consumer final mile transportation with the right balance of cost, speed and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive outbound parcel transportation strategy and execution for US, Canada, Europe, UK and Australia
Drive the implementation of a freight audit & payment Provider to manage the integrity and accuracy of carrier invoicing
Partner in the roll out of a multi-carrier parcel management solution (MCPMS) and seamless integration into the warehouse fulfillment operations of both U.S. and Canada
Manage customer delivery SLAs including A/B testing and possible implementation of dynamic Estimated Delivery Dates
Manage the on-boarding and on-going performance of core carrier base including on-time performance and cost trending
Collaborate with the MCPMS provider to pinpoint additional cost optimization opportunities based on True Classic unique shipping characteristics
Research opportunities to supplement the core carrier base with some of the newer age parcel carriers
Identify and drive continuous improvement projects to reduce logistics costs and carbon footprint
Work cross functionally with Business Intelligence to design and implement KPI dashboards that effectively monitor that state of our global logistics providers
Manage the reverse logistics service providers and associated costs
Own the financial impact of split and wrong DC shipments and work closely with Product Planning to course correct inventory positioning
Minimum Qualifications:
4 to 6 years of relevant transportation/logistics experience with an e-commerce retailer that has a significant direct to consumer business
Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or alternative equivalent
Previously managed small package carrier selection, negotiations, on-going performance management
Analytical mindset with a propensity to leverage data to identity and drive cost savings opportunities
Previous experience with BI tools (i.e. Tableau, Looker)
Highly proficient in the use of MS Excel and other data manipulation tools
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced ever changing environment where you actually the domain “owner”
Bonus Points - Hands-on experience in SQL, NetSuite, and Shopify
