Job Summary:

Operates hydraulic vacuum and pressure pumps on vehicle with GVWin excess of26,001 pounds to pump oil from oil water separators and electrical transformers, grease from grease traps, sewage from sewage lift stations,fuel from fuel/oil tanks. Performs other miscellaneous pumping requirements, including spills ofaforementioned materials.Cleans scrapes collections structures to loosen residues asrequired. When not tasked with pumping operations, other duties may be assigned.

Job *Responsibilities: *  

• Musthave working knowledge required tooperatehydraulic vacuum and pressure pumps.

• Must have working knowledge of operations of a coalescing plate type oil waterseparator.

• Must understand the operations of greasetraps.

• Must obtainandmaintainknowledge of Redstone arsenal’s Spill Prevention Plan and be able to execute and applicable portions and make recommendations to the plan.

• Must have working knowledge of the operations of screw type explosion proof pumps.

• MustpossessClass “B”Commercial Driver License with HAZMAT and tanker endorsement.

• Must be capable of working in all weather conditions common to Redstone Arsenal. All work isoutside.

• Must have good oral andwrittencommunication skillsrequiredto effectively communicate other government contractors and government(militaryand civilian) personnelregardingscheduling and specific work requirements.

• Must become familiar with and perform tasksin accordance withDepartment of Army, Public Works, and Redstone Arsenal Support Activity environmental regulations.

• Must be capable of performing duties of Motor Vehicle Operator- Heavy whenrequired.

• Accountable for :  

• Provided by Supervisor,Roadsand Grounds Branch. Accountable foraccomplishingall assignedtasksrequired to complete duties state herein accordance withcompany procedures,contract requirements and Supervisor instructions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :  

• Possess and maintain a valid Class “B” commercial Drivers License (CDL).

• Must obtain, within 30 days afterselection, andmaintaina‘ HAZMAT” and “TANKER” endorsement forCDL.

• Must be able to obtain Alabama Onsite Wastewater Board Certification of Licensefor Pumper Truck within 6 Months of employment.
