We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to play a key role in crafting and delivering our next-generation Host Maintenance Platform. You will be the technical lead behind our cutting-edge product, working alongside a team of skilled engineers to create a seamless change management platform for Azure's future needs.

Responsibilities

• Design solutions that streamline and automate provisioning and deployment for Azure customers.

• Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a scenario.

• Drives identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.

• Mentor and coach engineers within your team.

• Own and deliver complete features from design to implementation, testing, shipping, and servicing.

• Write and review high-quality, performance-focused, and maintainable code.

Qualifications

Required Qualifcations:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C++, C#, Java, or Python.

• OR equivalent experience.

• 4+ years of experience in building highly available distributed systems at scale.

• 4+ years of experience in leading and delivering distributed cloud services.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional / Preferred Qualifcations:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C++, C#, Java, or Python

• OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C++, C#, Java, or Python

• OR equivalent experience.

• Communication skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity.

• Experience working across various disciplines, groups, and teams.

• Experience with Cloud technologies and environments.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
