Department

As a Legal Assistant at McCullough Law, you are incredibly adaptable and well rounded. Legal assistants at McCullough Law can provide critical support to any of the following departments:

  • Administrative. Aid the operating arms of the firm including human resources, accounting and billing, and training.

  • Asset Management. Assist in retitling client assets according to attorney recommendations.

  • Client Experience. Ensure client meetings are scheduled, that those meetings run smoothly, and that our clients have an excellent experience.

  • Client Management. Support the team on internal client projects and coordinate directly with clients on their current needs and questions.

  • Legal Services. Help review and prepare estate planning documentation that meets our clients goals and objectives.

About Your Role

McCullough Law is seeking a full-time, career-minded Legal Assistant to join our growing company. This role (1) accomplishes a variety of tasks that encourage growth in your legal knowledge, hard skills, and soft skills and (2) is essential for ensuring that finalized estate plans are perfectly executed and recorded to meet or exceed client expectations and firm standards. The ideal candidate for this position is looking for growth opportunities and a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with and assist the McCullough Law team and your department

  • Follow up and follow through on client information and documentation

  • Prepare finalized legal document execution (review final documents, tab documents for signatures and notarization, assemble binders, and mail as applicable)

  • Audit estate planning documents to ensure standard of quality is met

  • Input client and estate information to electronic files for firm-wide use

  • Scan, save, and audit legal documents and meeting notes

  • Maintain a comprehensive and accurate history of client information and the client lifecycle

  • Thoroughly follow task procedures and meet multiple deadlines at one time

  • Perform all other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Must have professional appearance and demeanor

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Impeccable attention to detail

  • Effective time management and organization to meet and exceed deadlines

  • Proven ability to work independently, maintain strict confidentiality, and implement feedback

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat

  • Applicants must be available to work onsite Monday to Friday from 8:25 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of professional experience

  • Customer relationship management (CRM) experience, specifically answering phone calls and other office skills

  • 60+ WPM
