Assist with the continuation of the Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP)/ Medicare Improvements for Patients & Providers Act(MIPPA) programs for older Idahoans and their caregivers with an emphasis on targeting those in rural areas. Attend and successfully complete the Senior Medicare Patrol Training Program sponsored by the Senior Health Insurance Benefits Advisors and the Idaho Commission on Aging.

Develop power point presentations on SMP/MIPPA and present to groups in rural areas, service providers, community leaders, policy makers, churches and seniors and their caregivers in-group settings in Area V.

Disseminate Medicare Fraud and Medicare Prescription Drug educational handouts to seniors and various community groups.

Prepare quarterly and monthly reports as required.

Encourage bilingual (Spanish and English) individuals to volunteer in Pocatello, American Falls and Aberdeen to assist with the SMP project.

Conduct \"non-traditional\" outreach efforts to identify older individuals and family caregivers in southeast Idaho.

Inform identified older individuals and/or their caregivers of services or assistance related to Medicare and/or Medicaid programs, and other aging services/programs.

Develop and maintain a list of the identified outreach clients and/or caregivers and their needs.

Performs all duties in compliance with ICOA Memorandum of Agreements for SMP/MIPPA programs.
