Description

A dynamic organization working with Robert Half is offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Senior Accountant in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area. As a Senior Accountant, this role is integral to our team, requiring the successful applicant to assist with month-end close, journal entries, and various ad hoc accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up to date

• Prepare and record a variety of financial transactions through journal entries

• Conduct bank reconciliations promptly and accurately

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze financial data

• Operate accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to manage and process financial information

• Provide support for ad hoc accounting tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving ability

• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards

• Collaborate with other team members to improve and streamline accounting processes

• Communicate effectively with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in managing sensitive financial information.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experienced in performing bank reconciliations

• Skilled in month end close procedures

• Familiarity with NetSuite software

• Proficient in using Oracle software

• Knowledge of SAP software

• Previous experience in a similar senior accountant role

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Certified Public Accountant is preferred

• Sound understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
