Duties: These positions will support the Advanced Dynamic Aircraft Measurement System (ADAMS) and the Electronic Warfare (EW) Team within the ASAM Branch of the Atlantic Test Range. Design, develop, create, modify and test software for ADAMS and EW applications. Apply engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. Analyze, design, develop, implement, test or evaluate software related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapon systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.

General Functions:

  • Defining system and software requirements

  • Developing system and software requirements and design documentation

  • Developing test plans, test descriptions, test procedures, and test reports

  • Verifying implementation of system and software requirements

  • Conducting requirements correlation analysis and system performance assessments

  • Design, development and maintenance of software

  • Configuration management of ADAMS and EW systems and software

  • System and software documentation development, verification and maintenance

  • Software test and evaluation

  • Performing test analysis to determine system and test coverage, to evaluate critical test results, and to evaluate all software changes

  • Performing code inspections for proper test sequences, consistent interfaces, correct data flow, completeness, and appropriate logic flow

  • Ensuring that software changes are thoroughly tested, and accepted, and that changes made during testing do not adversely affect systems and software performance

  • Conducting demonstrations, for validation and training purposes, of created or modified software programs

  • Monitoring the software development process and providing technical consultation to team leaders and team members

  • Participating in working groups, acquisition milestone reviews, and formal qualification testing to identify potential risks to ASAM systems

  • Resolve Software and System interface problems Other Experience, Skills, Requirements, and Information:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience associated with software development

  • Strong communication skills needed for working in a team environment

  • Knowledgeable in computer software/hardware, automated data processing systems, and computer systems interfacing

  • Should have strong working knowledge of C++ Experience in MySQL and MatLab highly desired

  • Knowledge of QT and understanding of Red Hat desired

  • Some knowledge of Digital Signal Processing techniques desired

  • Should be familiar with DoD security policies and practices

  • No travel required Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics from an accredited college or university Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and hold a Top Secret Clearance. Work Conditions: Conditions will vary. Most work is performed in enclosed buildings, but some outside work may be required. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and reaching.
