KBR P-8 Test & Evaluation Engineer in Patuxent River, Maryland

P-8 Test & Evaluation Engineer

KBR is seeking a P-8 Test & Evaluation Engineer to join our team in Patuxent River supporting PMA 290.

In This Role, You Will...

  • Provide platform management, engineering/technology development, design and integration support, test planning, test support, test reporting, and laboratory maintenance/operations services to the Maritime Support Mission Systems Division, Fixed Wing Maritime Surveillance Branch, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) for the Multi-Mission Aircraft (MMA).Develop and implement test plans and procedures.

  • Prepare test reports.

  • Supporting technical meetings.

  • Supporting acquisition reviews and milestone decisions.

  • Participate in all aircrew training, ground training, and flight training.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Education: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Clearance: Must have completed a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) within the past six (6) years or currently enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program

Experience:

  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the operational employment of airborne search, detect, and tracking systems, as utilized on maritime surveillance aircraft

  • Experience working in aviation test

  • Personnel and program management experience

  • A minimum of 1000 hours in the P-3/P-8 family of aircraft

  • The ability to work with integrated test teams comprised of military, civilian and contractor personnel

  • The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

PREFERRED SKILLS + EXPERIENCE

  • Operational experience with DoD active duty customers

  • Experience with AST systems such as Littoral Surveillance Radar System (LSRS) or Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS)

  • DT and/or OT systems test experience of P-3/P-8 family systems.

  • Recent experience with RDT&E and/or acquisition for advanced military electronics/computer systems.

  • Advanced Sensor Technologies Program Office experience.
