Job Summary

REQUIREMENTS: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance(BFOQ: Transport clients.) Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, reach and lift up to 50 pounds are required in this position. Must pass Criminal Investigation Background and DHHR background checks and drug screen upon offer of employment. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Behavioral Health Technician will provide training, health monitoring, assistance with activities of daily living and transportation for disabled adults. Provides oversight and intervention to Clients that are experiencing a major behavioral health crisis. Serves as a member of the residential/day support services team and attends all designated meetings. Maintains daily logs and records of patient care, condition, progress or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor or Service Coordinator. Monitors client safety needs, including physical, medical, behavioral and psychiatric. Documents client functional and dysfunctional behavior according to individual program plans. Assists with cooking, laundry and other general household activities. Provide transportation for clients to doctor’s offices and on other trips outside the home. Other duties may be assigned to meet Client and agency needs. Complies with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations. Maintains confidentiality of all information and complies with HIPAA regulations. Pay is $13.00 hourly. All shifts available.
