Planate Management Group LLC Structural Engineer (SBMA, Zambales) in Olongapo, Philippines

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The Structural Engineer position will support our Global Technical Support Center (GTSC) in providing design plans and assisting all the activities which consist of all aspects of structural/civil engineering works.

This is a full-time position and is based in Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning and conducting independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria

  • Provide new approaches to problems and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes and accepted engineering practices

  • Perform design work for new construction, renovations, and improvement projects

  • Interpret and adapt traditional methods and approaches in developing design calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications that support project objectives and standards

  • Provide structural design services including preparation of civil/site work drawings, structural evaluations, and designs

  • Follow and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for design review and project mobilization as necessary

  • Comply with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and perform work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment

  • Perform construction management duties including reviewing construction documents and submittals, performing and documenting daily inspections, and assisting with project punch lists

  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

    Qualifications To be successful in the role:

  • Licensed Civil Engineer

  • Minimum of 7 years of structural design experience with structural analysis using STAAD

  • Able to prepare and edit floor plans on a schematic level

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, STAAD and other Microsoft Office Applications

  • Proficient in English both written and oral

  • Possess a Philippine Passport and a Driver’s License
