Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for an Electronics Engineering Lab Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization. This leadership role is located in Oklahoma City, OK.

The selected candidate will fill a Test and Evaluation (T&E) Engineer Lead role for the STRIKE Interim Tinker Lab (ITL). Responsible for working with an integrated product team (IPT) structure to perform technical statement of work for the ITL within Tinker AFB, OK. This manager will also be a section manager for 10-15 engineers and technicians. This position will report directly to Program Manager / IPT Lead.

Key Program/Technical Execution Responsibilities:

  • Business Management

  • Technical responsibility over Obsolescence, Maintenance, and management of the labs

  • Technical responsibility for design, management and plan for the modernization of the labs

  • Control Account Management (CAM) responsibilities for these efforts.

  • Briefing Government and Northrop Grumman leadership on technical progress, risks, issues, and opportunities.

Key Functional Responsibilities:

  • Support the annual salary review and promotion process.

  • Mentor and develop the next generation of technical and project leadership

  • Improve and enforce engineering processes and procedures

  • Maintain Team's staffing by conducting interviews and selecting the best candidate for the job

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 9 years related engineering experience OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline AND 7 years related engineering experience, OR 5 years with a PhD

  • Experience in planning, risk management, and/or project performance addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality.

  • 2+ years prior management/leadership experience within the same industry

  • Experience designing and leading Aerospace labs

  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)

  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance

  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master's Degree or PhD in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)

  • Demonstrated successful experience in modernization or sustainment planning, risk management, and project performance addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality

  • Proven experience in managing labs, setting & operating to objectives & providing guidance to subordinates based on goals, objectives & company policy

  • Logistics/Sustainment experience in a military environment

  • Experience in developing and managing Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements on a large system development-type contract or full responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a large technical services-type contract.

  • Preference in knowledge / experience of B-2 operational CONOPS

  • Successful experience in major lab upgrade or lab modification programs

  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance

Salary Range: $124,200 - $186,400

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
