Senior Project Integrator

JHNA is seeking a talented Project Integrator to join our growing Fort Eustis team in Newport News, VA. This work has a projected start timeline of Fall 2023.

JHNA is a Digital Engineering firm focused on providing engineering and technical services primarily to DoD's Aviation communities. Roles/Responsibilities:

Providing the leadership and development of projects/programs with designers to provide upfront and synchronized engineering support for designs to optimize the design and analysis process to support rapid prototyping efforts.

  • Coordinate with engineering analysts for structural load tests, RAP testsand modal analysis, and structural load testing to develop a comprehensive analysis for every project and ensure it supports Aviation Development Directorate (ADD) Safety of Flight Release Board and Aviation Engineering Directorate (SOFRB/AED), cognizant Army engineering airworthiness authorities in accordance with Army Regulation (AR) 70-62, scrutiny for safe flight.
  • Provide expertise as subject matter expert (SME) for project/program and lead briefing to SOFRBs. Program integration shall require develop training plans and mentorship of team members within technical IPT.
  • Ensure clarification of project objectives, preparing engineering support tasks cost and schedule estimates, coordinating with contractors, suppliers and other Government agencies.
  • Work with customer, customer representatives and division personnel to ensure that high quality products are delivered on time and within the estimated cost.
  • Coordinate projects with Technical Support Branch and Flight Test Division.
  • Ensure that required materials are available or purchased and delivered in a timely fashion.
  • Identify requirements for overtime hours and/or outsourced support.
  • Actively promote "team approach" to project completion through constant communication and cooperation with project participants from all branches.
  • Assist with technical expertise in the development, evaluation and negotiation of ADD or customer procurements as required by other divisions of ADD.
  • Manage execution of assigned engineering support tasks ensuring that technical analysis, testing, reporting, and substantiation is quantifiable and comprehensive to support SOFRB assessment and to support program requirements.

Qualifications Required:

  • Active Secret or Interim Secret Clearance Required
  • Shall be a graduate of DoD course of instruction for Instructor Pilot (IP) or Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the development of systems design, systems applications, engineering, developmental and acceptance test including fielding and sustainment of aircraft and aircraft systems
