We’re looking for a high-impact, high-energy marketing professional to play a vital part in ensuring we continue to differentiate our developer productivity solution in the industry with programs, go-to-market strategies, and long-term marketing plans. As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you’ll partner closely with engineering, sales, partners, business planning, and other teams to build messaging and programs, and execute go-to-market plans that win customers and drive adoption of our solution. The candidate should be able to demonstrate powerful storytelling skills and bring in an attitude of GSD (Getting Stuff Done!).

Responsibilities

Go-to-Market

  • Identifies target customers, defines, and executes the strategy for the end-to-end customer journey, and creates story and scenarios to convey the big picture for the Developer Productivity Solution

  • Drive acquisition of customers to use the Microsoft developer platform by creating and delivering compelling messaging, content, demos and campaigns

  • Play storyteller across several audiences at a variety of internal and external forums

  • Be the product marketing voice for campaigns working with integrated marketing and marcomms teams

Sales Enablement

  • Delivers sales enablement and field support

  • Collaborate across sales, partner, and engineering organization to develop sales ready collateral including pitch decks, FAQs, decision maker and technical blogs to support the overall solution play

  • Develops content that best resonates with customer value

  • Creates a feedback loop with Sales to ensure their buy in

Cross-Functional Orchestration

  • Facilitates the building and executing marketing plans and strategies across functions such as engineering (product management and developer advocates), sales, partners, integrated marketing etc. to achieve solution play revenue goals

  • Drives initiatives and programs across teams to improve and meet business objectives.

  • Drives impact through other teams

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business

  • OR Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business

  • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of developer marketing experience

  • Customer Obsession: Demonstrated deep outside-in empathy for customer experience and success

  • Storytelling: a natural storyteller with the ability to thread customer value with product truth

  • Communication Effective written and spoken communication skills at all altitudes, with actionable clarity and One Microsoft transparency

  • Passion for software development technology: Ability to envision and articulate end-to-end customer scenarios predicated on cloud based and AI-driven software development capabilities

  • Collaboration: collaborator and relationship manager on multi-faceted issues that span multiple groups, with the ability to forge relationships that drive results

  • Influencing Others: Ability to move others across organizational boundaries to a desired business outcome when there is no clear “ownership” of an issue.

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
