Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Manager, AI Infrastructure & Platforms in Multiple Locations, United States

Azure Specialized Compute drives the hardware roadmap, software and services that enable our users to run technical computing workloads in Azure - from batch workloads to Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML) to traditional High Performance Compute (HPC) simulations to remote visualization. We are responsible for providing the most scalable general-purpose systems as well as the most powerful GPU-accelerated systems for our end customers in their quest for finding answers to some of the most difficult questions in science and industry.

As a Senior Product Manager, AI Infrastructure & Platforms, in Azure Core, you will be building top-notch quality Artificial Intelligence virtual machine (AI VM) solutions in Azure, and will need to work with key customers and partners to fuel the growth of the AI Azure platform. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager, AI Infrastructure & Platforms to create and deliver highly impactful AI VM products/solutions spanning multiple Azure products and services. This is a key role with high impact in Azure.

Responsibilities

  • You will drive business impact across the organization and track success criteria for AI VM products. You’ll also identify long-term investment opportunities and engage partners to garner support for those products and feature areas.

  • You will help define a product and facilitate internal stakeholder reviews as well as meetings with customers. You’ll own the product roadmap, and will collaborate with partner teams to build node and rack-level configurations and drive clarity for teams to execute to.

  • You will scale Product Marketing teams by helping build marketing, roll-out, and customer support plans. You’ll also promote the products you worked on and present at industry events.

  • You will partner with others to collect performance metrics and form hypotheses for complex technical needs in order to improve product development in targeted areas. You’ll also identify features to deprecate, manage customer communities, and build trust with targeted customers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence models and methodologies

  • Experience with high-performance infrastructure such as CPUs, GPUs, high performance memory sub-system, accelerators and high-performance fabric like ethernet and InfiniBand

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering projects/programs on time and under budget

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required for preparing clear, concise, and grammatically correct materials and communicating information effectively to others

  • Ability to use various project management methodologies, including agile

  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) a plus

  • Excellent organizational skills including calendar, email, and time management

  • Ability to create structure from abstract ideas, take initial concepts to full maturity

  • Technically competent with the ability to solve both technical and non-technical problems

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
