With a focus on architectural aesthetics, building comfort, and technology, the firm works with the nation’s top architects and developers on exciting projects that span the Rocky Mountain West and beyond.Structural Engineer must reside near Missoula, MT.  Missoula is a highly sought after community located halfway between Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks.  It provides great summer and winter recreation, excellent schools, a thriving downtown, and all of the other benefits of a university town.Structural Engineer will lead projects and provide design expertise while working with cutting-edge computer modeling tools and travel occasionally to interface with clients and attend industry events.Essential Functions:Framing layout from schematic design to construction documents.Perform all gravity / lateral calculations.Select best building material based on framing efficiency, architectural constraints, contractor experience and cost.Specify framing sizes and connections.Coordinate with design team professionals in order to provide solutions where collision of systems is detected.Create REVIT drawings for projects (a plus, but not required - training available).Detail load paths for gravity and lateral elements.Create specifications / schedules for all structural materials being used on the project.
