Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half is in search of a diligent and meticulous Sr. Accountant to be based in Meridian, Idaho. The successful candidate will be a pivotal part of our general accounting function, contributing significantly to the financial close, compensation accounting, lease accounting, fixed assets, annual audit, and statutory audit processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive process improvements, prepare financial reports, and serve as a business partner to the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the compliance and controls team to implement effective controls.

• Actively participate in monthly close and consolidation processes.

• Prepare and participate in monthly reporting and analysis processes.

• Be involved in annual external audit and statutory audit processes.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, including implementation of new standards and their impact on the business.

• Act as a business partner to the organization, providing solutions to functional questions and interactions.

• Show a strong understanding and application of all areas of general accounting including leases, fixed assets, costing, payroll/compensation, allocations, etc.

• Identify, recommend, and implement accounting process improvements to support company goals and objectives.

• Exhibit strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and controls/compliance infrastructure, and apply this knowledge effectively.

• Display intellectual curiosity and critical thinking, identifying areas of improvement and driving results.

• Show experience with external audit firm – participation in the annual audit process.

• Demonstrate excellent Excel skills, and experience with preparation of external financial statements.

• Showcase a strong sense of urgency and an ability to manage multiple responsibilities.

• Exhibit process improvement/idea generation/implementation skills.

• Maintain the ability to receive detailed information visually through written communication (both physical and electronic).

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

• Experience with Month End Close procedures is required.

• Familiarity with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley is necessary.

• Applicants should have a strong understanding of GAAP Accounting.

• Knowledge of US GAAP is a requirement.

• Experience with Annual External Audit processes is desirable.

• Skills in Monthly Reporting are needed.
