We are looking for a Piping Stress Engineer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects at some of the world’s most state of the art industrial and commercial facilities. You’ll be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the Client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.

· Performing pipe stress activities as a member of taskforce under guidance provided by the leader and collaboration with multi-discipline designers. Verification of equipment layout and its impact on pipe stress analysis

· Participation in design review and coordination, vendor documentation comments and risk assessments preparation

· Prepares project specifications and procedures, critical line lists, mechanical and piping loading data, and engineering data sheets.

· Develops and reviews piping studies for flexibility and supports of major critical lines in the early design stage.

· Performs pipe stress and vibration analysis using computer aided engineering programs (Caesar II, and other software) and/or hand approximate method considering all Code.

· Checks piping layout if all piping stress analysis requirements are met. Reviews all design information affecting other disciplines and/or Vendors if properly recorded and promptly transmitted.

· Reviews equipment vendor drawings for support position, evaluates nozzle loadings, and coordinates as necessary any special requirements or clarifications.

· Prepares various types of engineering calculation such as maximum support span, maximum support loadings, and reinforcement requirement at branch connection, pad requirements, flange leakage, and others.

· Evaluate equipment and piping layout to optimize installation.

· Prepared piping support, MTO, layout and isometrics.

· Select special piping material components not covered by piping material specifications and prepare SP Item List.

· Prepare pipe wall (pressure and vacuum), spectacle blind, and other required material and component pressure-retaining thickness calculations.

· Responsible for leading pipe stress scope in small project with proper quality and according with good engineering practice and in line with codes and standards

· Supporting team management and coordination: for design area or small project delivery: schedule, budget, and workflow preparation.

Here’s what you’ll need :

· 5 years of piping engineering/design experience in any industry doing stress analysis.

· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any degree related Engineering course.

· Software: very good skills in 2D/3D software (AutoCAD), piping stress software (AutoPIPE, Caesar II) and Microsoft Office suite, Navisworks

· Good knowledge of piping code and standards and good engineering practices and basic knowledge of other engineering disciplines

· Supporting and developing junior staff of own discipline

· Good English level - written and spoken.

· Well organized, responsible, good team player, good communication skills.
