Position: Personal Injury Paralegal

Location: Northern Virginia

Job Setting: On-site or REMOTE

Description: Our client is a full service law firm in Northern Virginia and they are looking for a full-time Paralegal with a minimum of 5 years of personal injury and/or Virginia workers compensation experience.

Responsibilities:

• Must be able to work cases from intake to settlement including creating demands and negotiating settlements.

• Summarizing cases and preparing reports

• Interviewing clients and witnesses

• Drafting, preparing and proofing correspondence and legal documents

• Preparing and filing documents with the courts

• Monitoring changes in cases and providing timely updates to the Attorney

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong focus on detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independent and as part of a team

• Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies, a Paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree preferred

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Paralegal in the field of Personal Injury

• Pre-litigation experience is a must

• Litigation experience is preferred

• Knowledge of Workers Comp process in Virginia is preferred

• Spanish proficiency preferred

Salary: Will pay up to $75k-80k base DOE plus an additional $5k/quarter bonus

• Personal injury plaintiffs experience (handling case from initial demand to settlement)

• Worker's Compensation experience preferred
