Manager, Data Engineering (The Vanguard Group, Inc. / Malvern, PA) -- Manage and optimize automation of key ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) and quality assurance processes for large volumes of data; consult with department or function heads on implementation, transition, and operating plans; execute and adjust plans for team of Data Engineers; develop clear understanding of Data Analytics and Management work across businesses and how they connect; manage planning, prioritization, and execution of data production projects and processes; partner with internal and external clients to gain an expert understanding of business functions and informational needs; work closely with other technical and data analytics experts across the business and external vendors to implement data solutions; manage and troubleshoot design and development of software and processes to support large scale, efficient data pipelines; integrate complex and large-scale data from a variety of sources for business partners to generate insight and make decisions; support dashboarding efforts, data science and engagement projects, and production support as needed. Requires Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, or closely related IT field and two years of experience in job offered or in IT position(s) including Senior Data Engineer and/or Software Engineer. Background in education, training or experience must include Python, PySpark, Data Modeling, Database Management, NoSQL, SQL, AWS, Kafka, SNS, SQS, and JAVA.
