Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will perform system administration functions such as user account creation and maintenance, system backups, application of security patches, security token certificate refreshes, and policy-mandated records-keeping. You will assist in managing the Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) account's day-to-day operations such as customer service, data entry, and communications security (COMSEC) materiel shipping and receiving. You will resolve procedural conflicts, identify potential security concerns in order to handle emergent technical requirements, training, and other customer needs. You will prepare and maintain databases on electronic keying materiel created, received, transferred, issued and destroyed by the command. You will receive, transfer, issue, inventory, safeguard and destroy electronic keying material, Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI), and Secure Telephone Equipment (STE) terminals. You will perform spot checks and training assist visits on Local Element commands to ensure proper handling and safeguarding procedures are being observed. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector monitoring and implementing information security policies and procedures in the system administration of Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Management Client or similar systems (e.g., user account creation and maintenance, system backups, application of security patches, etc.). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows: Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree. OR 2 Full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. OR LL.B. or J.D., if directly related to the position in which you are applying. OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
