Lockheed Martin Accountant in Lakeland, Florida

Description: This Lockheed Martin EO Global Financial Services (LM GFS) position supports the Global Accounting Cost Monitoring and Compliance (CMAC) organization in Lakeland, Florida. The Global Accounting Cost Monitoring and Compliance team is responsible for international subsidiary and expatriate cost accounting, bank account reconciliations, and accounting system controls.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

- General ledger accounting including cash journal entries, balancing, and reconciliations

- Monitoring of international general ledger costs and accounting controls

- General Ledger financial accounting, table validation/maintenance, and reconciliations

- Timekeeping and labor cost accounting for expatriated employees

In this role, the team member is expected to successfully handle multiple and simultaneous tasks, assignments, priorities and deadlines. The position requires support services with business partners and customers. Effective communication, strong customer service, organization/prioritization, and analytical skills are required. The role also requires demonstrated competency of generally accepted accounting principles.

Basic Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting/financial experience

- Bachelors level degree in Accounting, Finance or other related business field

- Demonstrated accounting and analytical skills

- Demonstrated ability to focus on customers' needs, provide excellent service, and effective support to partners and customers

- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills:

- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook

- Quick learner, ability to work independently and within a diverse team environment

- Demonstrated ability to successfully research and resolve accounting variances/issues

- Focus on process improvements and automation enhancements

- Knowledge and application of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and applicable U.S. Government regulations including Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
