Ford Motor Company Network Systems Developer in Juneau, Alaska

The Network Systems Developer will work within IBM’s Netcool (NOI), ASM and AIOps to ensure that the program is operating efficiently and delivering to business objectives. This will require detailed knowledge of network architecture and functionality and the software used to report and maintain service availability, while reducing noise. The candidate will need the ability to work with a diverse team including network administrators, planners, and vendors. Key skills are needed in programming, IBM Impact knowledge, API integration, and databases management. Candidate must be available for after-hours on-call rotation to serve as Level 3 support.

What you’ll do…

  • Develop and maintain code in Netcool (NOI)/Impact.

  • Customize network management systems to automate monitoring processes and procedures; including but not limited to dashboards, test set-up, and custom customer requirements.

  • Provide network monitoring system support and hold regular seminars to train Network Operations staff as well as Network Performance Management users including management.

  • Troubleshooting, patching, upgrading of Network Performance Management systems.

  • Understand security and control processes (GRC), and work with a security and audit mindset.

  • Serve as a Technical Expert, aiding internal Ford customers.

  • Provide after-hours on-call Level 3 support.

You’ll have…

  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • 2 years of experience programming with Impact Programming Lanaguage (IPL) or JavaScript.

  • Experience programming in Netcool/Impact (NOI) using IPL.

  • Understanding of network devices, and associated architectures.

Even better, you may have…

  • Artificial Intelligence training, including algorithm knowledge and application skills.

  • Experience with Agile projects, and utilizing tools, i.e., Rally.

  • Master of Science in Information Technology, or Computer Science.

  • CCNA certification, or equivalent experience.
