Essential:
- Provide mental health services for HutchCC Outreach students including crisis intervention and personal counseling at the McPherson and Newton Centers.
- Provide planning, coordination, and oversight of daily activities for the student food pantry in Outreach. Utilize resources as required by grant funds.
- Teach select classes, as assigned, utilizing face to face and online delivery methods. Classes may include ED105 Success Seminar/College Orientation, ED115 College Orientation and Career Exploration, SO103 Stress Management, SO104 Assertiveness Training and/or ED126 Psychology of Happiness.
- Provide academic, career, and financial aid advising services to students who have not declared a college major, and to students, who, according to institutional definition, are consider at risk.
- Collaborate with the Student Services and Outreach teams to provide needed resources for students.
- Assist with campus outreach, fairs, screening events, and celebrations.
- Implement retention procedures including a variety of intervention services.
- Utilize multiple delivery systems for advising and counseling including face-to-face, telephone, and online communication with students.
- Maintain resource materials relating to advising and counseling.
- Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
- Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.
Secondary:
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Director of Outreach and the Coordinator of Counseling and Social Work Services.
- Travel to other HutchCC locations as needed.
