The Sr. Paralegal will provide administrative and para-professional legal services in support of ADTRAN's departmental and organizational strategic goals. The Paralegal will take part in preparation of contracts, corporate documents and correspondence, contract management, and other legal matters. This position reports to Senior Corporate Counsel. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys in Legal and Contracts Department in various areas, including but not limited to contracts, litigation and disputes, leasing matters and potential corporate acquisitions as they arise
  • Manage corporate filings independently for all ADTRAN international entities and affiliates, including but not limited to working with outside counsel to keep ADTRAN in good standing.
  • Assist in legal research as required by attorneys in Legal and Contracts Department
  • Brainstorm and implement continued department process improvements, especially regarding document storage and contract process workflow
  • Assist in answering contract questions and research contract history files for troubleshooting contractual issues
  • Coordinate contract review, signature process and related correspondence
  • Provide general office support including maintaining contract and legal files
  • Prepare and maintain legal case files for managing litigation and contract disputes
  • Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience is required.
  • Working knowledge of contractual issues and ability to read, interpret, and administer contracts is required.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including; Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Database Management are required.
  • In-house legal department or law firm experience is required
  • Litigation support experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of basic contract management and administration principles, including real estate contracts, and ability to read, interpret, summarize and administer contracts required
  • Little to no travel is required in this position.
