McLane Company Field Account Representative in Grand Junction, Colorado

Description We are one of the largest supply chain services leaders in the United States, providing grocery and foodservice solutions for convenience stores, mass merchants, drug stores and chain restaurants. We operate over 80 distribution centers and one of the nation's largest private fleets. The pay range for this position is $52k to $58k based on qualifications and experience. This role is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan with a target incentive of 20% of your base annual salary. Position Summary The Field Account Representative (FAR) will manage and maintain current customers with a strong emphasis on growing sales within their territory. Working primarily with independent and small group customers, the Field Account Representative will take a customer centric approach to building strong relationships, solving customer challenges, and driving profitability. Duties and Responsibilities Manage territory and time efficiently; 15% home office, 85% in person customer meetings. Understand and articulate product and service portfolio. Highlight value proposition to customers, quantifying the benefits of partnering with us. Analyze customer performance to develop sales strategies custom to each account. Stay current with market trends, business changes, and competitors in the marketplace. Plan, schedule, coordinate, and participate in annual reset of each account. Track sales activities through CRM tool; identifying opportunities within your territory. Follow-up on account receivable challenges with leadership. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (preferred); or five years of relevant work experience in sales. Experience in supply chain/distribution is preferred. Ability to manage time and resources effectively. Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as CRM tools. Ability to work with and communicate with different reporting level groups, including customers, drivers, customer service, and peers. Ability to understand information and reports available to assist in managing accounts. Strong ability to work independently and work effectively in a team environment. Requires a self-motivated individual with strong sales and communication skills. Ability to travel 80% of the time within territory (overnight travel varies by market area)

Other Requirements Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet our needs and specific customers including early mornings, overnight stays, and driving long distances to meet customer demands. Must be 18 years old or older with a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, grasping, and periodically reaching above the head. Exerting 15-20 pounds of force occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time). Exerting 5-10 pounds of force frequently (activity or condition exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time). Exerting up to 5 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Working Conditions The work conditions are primarily in a retail setting of a customer store, vehicle, or occasionally in an office environment. What do we provide?
