About the Role & Team
The Enterprise Reporting team is responsible for The Walt Disney Company’s (TWDC) 10K/10Q filing process and other SEC and non-SEC financial statement deliverables for various reporting requirements, from consolidation to external reporting. This team also presents various internal analysis supporting the external filings, including analysis on the Company’s balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow for the Company’s three business segments - Entertainment, Sports and Experiences. In responding to executives, analysts or press inquiries concerning the Company, there is interaction between Enterprise Reporting and several key corporate departments, including Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury, and the office of the CFO. This position offers multiple opportunities to showcase analytical skills.

What You Will Do
Support the quarterly close and consolidation processes to ensure timely and accurate generation of consolidated financial statements
Assist with preparation of quarterly balance sheet and income statement analysis
Participate in preparation of Form 10K/10Q
Support external audit process by providing auditors with supporting documentation and respond to inquiries
Support implementation of off-quarter Enterprise-wide financial process improvement initiatives
Responsible for enterprise intercompany processes, identify and communicate risks as well as opportunities to improve the process, develop and implement process improvements, review segment submissions and prepare quarterly enterprise system reconciliations
Lead/perform various ad-hoc projects
Key stakeholders - Coordination and interaction with segment teams and executives in Controllership and Investor Relations, including preparing deliverables, ad hoc questions and analysis
Required Qualifications & Skills
One to three years in accounting, auditing or finance positions of increasing responsibility. Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills combined with solid business and financial acumen
Strong understanding and knowledge of general accounting and close process
Must have a passion for accuracy and a desire to understand the “why”
Must be detail oriented while being able to think big picture
Strong relationship building skills and a highly professional “client service orientation”
Ability to interact and work with all levels of management
Must be an excellent teammate who possesses solid interpersonal and organizational skills
Excellent communicator in both oral and written settings
Flexible, “special-projects” orientation coupled with solid multi-tasking abilities

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel proficiency using pivot tables, Match Index, H- &V-lookups, etc., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong accounting and control knowledge required, specifically with respect to financial reporting and systems
Preferred Qualifications
Preferably with public accounting background with a large multi-national company or Big 4 accounting firm
Experience with SEC filings, entertainment industry experience, SAP and consolidations systems experience
CPA License
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $76,800.00 - $93,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
