CACI has an outstanding opportunity for select expert GIS data-base administrators that want to make a difference in the defense of the nation by applying their talents and experience in a fast-paced dynamic environment in support of US Special Operations Command. The opportunity is limited to self-starters with an advanced level of experience in managing and developing databases and capable of working independently in a fluid custom application development environment. You will be an integral part of a selective professional IT team that directly supports the operational planning cycle to support mission success. This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization in Fayetteville, NC.

More About the Role:

You will support a growing custom geospatial database environment by creating and managing database objects, constraints, dependencies, relationships, and both traditional and large object storage structures and interpret new requirements and identify solutions to meet those requirements. In addition, you will be supporting the design and integration of multiple ESRI, ARCGIS, and messaging applications into a common centralized database configuration. You must have expertise in SQL tuning and a basic understanding of XML technologies, as well as be able to demonstrate the capability to effectively utilize customer support from vendor companies.

You must have a strong understanding of geospatial database schema object management, data modeling and architecture. You will leverage your experience and knowledge to provide advice to the software development team and support the application support team throughout the staging and production cycle through the software development lifecycle (LDC), implement and troubleshoot triggers, views, stored procedures and data integrity constraints, and identify and troubleshoot database issues. You should possess the ability to analyze, design, build, test and implement solutions and have an expert understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL) and/or PostgreSQL.

You should have excellent communication skills to include technical writing and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment. You should have the ability and willingness to continue to expand your knowledge and experience base to be detail oriented and to prioritize and complete assigned tasks within required deadlines. You should have exceptional problem solving and decision-making capabilities, including troubleshooting technical issues, successfully resolving project issues and challenges, and developing creative solutions for process improvement and understanding user requirements.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Required:

  • TS/SCI

  • Shall perform advanced level planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of an enterprise level

  • Have 8 years of progressive experience performing complex analysis, design, development, and modification to improve efficiency of Microsoft SQL and/or PostgreSQL databases in support of enterprise architecture

  • Shall be highly proficient in administering and deploying open source and commercial off the shelf (COTS) GIS server equipment in support of intelligence organizations. Should possess strong oral and written communication skills and be capable of effectively directing subordinates

  • Shall possess high level/expert ability to manage and work with static and dynamic streaming geospatial oriented data

  • Required to obtain and maintain currency of the appropriate level certification in accordance with DODD 8570.01

Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree and three additional years of general experience in the

fields of database administration, intelligence systems architecture and geospatial systems

experience are highly desirable

  • Network+ and Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)SQL Server 2016 certifications desired. Should possess an expert working knowledge of the discovery, analysis and exploitation of geospatially oriented data and the management of that data within a variety of Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) compliant applications and

$78,000 - $163,800
