Northern Machining & Repair, Inc. Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Escanaba, Michigan
Under direction from Logistics Manager, the Heavy Equipment Mechanic maintains equipment operations by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Repair and replace damaged or worn parts on trucks, semis, and trailers in fleet.
Clean, lubricate, and perform other routing maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs using engine diagnostic equipment.
Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment, and keep equipment service records.
Verifies vehicle performace by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
