Robert Half Property Accountant in El Segundo, California

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Temporary Staff Accountant to join our clients team for a short-term project lasting 1-2 months. The selected candidate will play a key role in reviewing financial records from 2023, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and providing insights into financial performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Review: Conduct a thorough review of financial records from 2023, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries, to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.

  • Accounts Payable (AP): Manage accounts payable functions, including processing invoices, verifying vendor contracts, and reconciling statements to ensure accurate and timely payments.

  • Accounts Receivable (AR): Oversee accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations, to ensure timely and accurate recording of revenue.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, providing insights and recommendations to management.

  • Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and transactions to ensure consistency and accuracy, addressing any discrepancies or issues as they arise.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of findings, processes, and recommendations for future reference and audit purposes.

  • Reporting: Prepare summary reports and presentations outlining the findings of the financial review, highlighting key insights and recommendations for improvement.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and property management, to gather information and address any questions or concerns related to the financial review.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 3+ years of accounting experience, with a strong background in financial analysis, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
