SAS has an opening for a Cutting Machine Mechanic

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Ensures operation of machinery, mechanical equipment and production machines by completing preventative maintenance requirements by following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, engineering specifications and troubleshooting malfunctions.

• Controls downtime by informing supervisors of routine preventative maintenance techniques monitoring compliance.

• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices and control instruments.

• Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

• Fabricates parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.

• Maintains a safe and clean environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.

• Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing additional tasks as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent job performance and attendance.

• Able to work independently with solid follow through.

• A team player that works well with others.

• Mature, responsible, and self-motivated with a strong work-ethic.

• Equipment maintenance, technical understanding, deals well with uncertainty, basic safety, power tools, and attention to detail, flexibility, job knowledge and productivity.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Mechanically inclined, basic maintenance.

• Industrial machine experience is very helpful.

• Knowledge of electrical is important.

• Bilingual is a plus.
