Overview
JOB SUMMARY: Plans, directs, and monitors engineering, maintenance, and WWTP policies, procedures, and techniques to ensure that GSF and division objectives for facilities maintenance, efficiency, economy, quality, and productivity are met or exceeded.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the planning and execution of the annual capital plan within the food processing campuses. This includes working with all stakeholders to ensure that strategic plans and business objectives are executed on time and on budget. All CER packages will flow through this position to ensure that accuracy of budget, justification, ROI if required, and design meet specified GSF criteria. (25%)
Maintains and operates the WWTP to ensure that the facility is in compliance with all state and federal regulations. Ensures that the WWTP operates within budgeted levels. (15%)
Directly responsible for the MRO team to include sourcing/procurement of plant spare parts and supplies. Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure working capital targets are met, preventive maintenance plans are executed effectively, and breakdown resolution time is minimized. (10%)
Designs or directs design of control systems to ensure quality and food safety, enhance company productivity, and reduce down-time. (5%)
Supervises team effectively to include training and development, performance appraisals, and coaching to ensure company, plant, and department objectives are met. This includes ensuring that the mechanics are up to date on the latest trends and technologies in the industry. (10%)
Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university, or business degree with equivalent experience
Experience:
5-7 years of relevant experience with progressive supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of (B/basic; J/journey; E/expert):
Electrical, hydraulic, refrigeration, pneumatic, boiler, and other systems
Maintenance management in a manufacturing environment
GMPs
PLC programs and programming
Management and supervisory concepts and techniques
Relevant division or department policies and regulations
Project management concepts and techniques
PC word processing/spreadsheet software
Skill and ability to:
Read diagrams and blueprints
Interpret maintenance anomalies or irregularities and identify appropriate solutions
Communicate and coordinate effectively with associates verbally and in writing
Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal customers
Read and process written information with a high degree of accuracy
Climb, crawl, squat, kneel, reach or twist
Lift, push, pull, or carry objects over 25 pounds
Travel via airplane and drive an automobile
Work effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on high levels of quality and customer service
