Emerson Senior Project Procurement Specialist in CLUJ NAPOCA, Romania

The Senior Project Procurement Specialist will be responsible for all relevant project procurement matters within the project categories! You will study the market trends, identify the best suppliers for the company's needs, and negotiate pricing and contracts with those suppliers. You will also drive project costs and continuing improvement of the internal processes, identifying any risks when sourcing and procuring goods, and building, and maintaining good relationships with suppliers and distributors!

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Negotiating favorable prices and terms of purchase to increase the best sourcing practices and ensuring that assigned project-approved budgets are adhered to;

  • Responsible for generating orders to suppliers based on the technical specifications received from the project engineer and for the availability of project materials;

  • Responsible for order confirmations and delivery notes, supervising delivery data & processing invoices for assigned MSS Projects;

  • Keeps the project team advised of the status of all orders and provides accurate and timely answers to all queries regarding ongoing orders;

  • Actively participates in departmental meetings, and provides forecasting and reporting support;

  • Sets shipment priorities depending on the delivery time of the orders/contracts; advises collaborators about the status of ongoing deliveries;

  • Responsible for Trade Compliance activities related to acquisitions. Knows and respects the local and international commercial regulations of Emerson and respects Emerson's code of ethics;

  • Monitors service quality, and adherence to PMO Project Procurement procedures and ensure the implementation of continuous improvement processes;

  • Supports the development and maintenance of effective supplier relationships to achieve company goals related to schedule, reducing material lead times, improving quality, reliable delivery performance, and favorable pricing;

  • Daily checking of open MSS Procurement reports to identify overdue deliveries and missing information;

  • Engages on contract development and evaluation of the contract scope, identifying and bringing up critical items to management as needed;

  • Align, support, and coordinate Measurement Solutions Systems' pivotal initiatives in terms of supply chain and guide junior buyers.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree graduate or equivalent experience in Business, Commerce, or Masters in Business or Commerce;

  • 3-5 years of proven experience;

  • Experience in sourcing, procurement, and supply chain;

  • Experience in establishing and handling pricing agreements with strategic suppliers;

  • Good communication and negotiation skills;

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills;

  • Familiarity with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as an understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions;

  • Proficient English spoken and written communication skills;
