MetroHealth Student Dining Service Aide - Food Services Patient in CLEVELAND, Ohio

Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER

Biweekly Hours: 32.00

Shift: 4p-8p

Summary:

Under the direction of management, functions as the key contact person between the Dining and Nutrition Services Department and the patient. Delivers meals and assists with patient meal services. Performs a variety of food service duties to provide quality, safe food for the satisfaction of our patients/customers.

Qualifications:

Required: Actively enrolled in secondary school. Valid work permit for students under the age of 18. Able to read and write in English. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment. Electronic competency to enter meal or stock orders and track meals through the facility. Ability to communicate well with patients and staff using verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds

Preferred: Currently pursuing an HS Diploma.

Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Ability to lift 250-300 pounds with assistance. Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products.
