Essential Functions and Duties of Position

  1. Quantity Take-off: Quantify physical components of projects for pricing
  2. Develop unit prices for components of a project
  3. Subcontractor solicitation
  4. Building Information Modeling
  5. Generate renderings and virtual logistics plans
  6. Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and vendors

Systems and Process

  1. Has proficiency in estimating software systems including:
    1. Timberline
    2. Isqft
    3. On Screen Take-off
  2. Has working knowledge of design software systems
    1. AutoCad
    2. Revit
    3. Bentley
    4. Navisworks
    5. Sketch-up Pro
  3. Has proficiency in basic management software systems
    1. Word
    2. Excel

Customers, Consultants, Subcontractor and Supplier Relations

  1. Establishes and maintains relationships with design consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
  2. Actively participates in industry events

Corporate Evolution

  1. Develops, trains and mentors subordinates
  2. Encourages, participates in industry-related events and professional associations
  3. Ensures positive exposure to community

Education/Experience

  1. 5-7 years of experience in a relative estimating environment
  2. Requires a college degree in a relevant major of study

Requires moderate, varied physical effort and dexterity including; sitting, standing, walking, seeing 20/20 with correction, talking hearing (with or without aid) and ability and utilize a mouse.
