Job Title: Senior Web Designer/Developer

Job Summary:

This position is in support of the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA). Working for the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA) involves providing crucial technical support and innovation for cutting-edge tactical systems utilized by the Marine Corps, contributing directly to the effectiveness and efficiency of military operations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading the design, development, configuration, and deployment of new human capital management system solutions on the Microsoft Azure and Office 365 platform per MCTSSA's requirements

  • Collaborating with stakeholders and project teams to gather and analyze system requirements for the new STRL personnel management system

  • Developing and implementing secure system architectures, data models, user interfaces, and integration components adhering to industry standards like DevSecOps and ITIL

  • Configuring system security, roles, permissions, data policies, and taxonomy standards within the new solutions

  • Performing code reviews and ensure developed solutions meet quality, security, and performance standards

  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to other developers on the project team

  • Assisting in developing standard operating procedures for system administration and end-user support

  • Participating in system testing, migration, and deployment activities related to the new personnel management solutions

    Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field

  • 7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a senior technical role

  • Extensive expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services, Office 365, and .NET software development

  • Strong programming skills in C#, JavaScript, SQL, and other relevant languages

  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies like Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD

  • Experience with system design, database modeling, and user interface development

  • Knowledge of security principles, data protection standards, and authentication mechanisms

  • Ability to create well-documented, maintainable, and extensible code

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities

  • Proven track record in leading the full lifecycle implementation of cloud-based applications and systems

  • Extensive experience with the Azure DevOps suite and related Microsoft development tools

  • Background in developing secure user interfaces and integrating with identity management systems

  • Familiarity with IT service management principles and frameworks like ITIL

  • Experience mentoring and providing technical leadership to development teams

    Desired:

  • Knowledge of HR systems, data models, and reporting requirements

    Work Setting and Environment:

  • Monday - Friday, normal working hours

  • Work is to be performed at Camp Pendleton, CA
