From your PASSION to ours

This position reports to the Manager of Logistics and performs a variety of duties in support of the Supply Chain operations. Will work across multiple functions of the Logistics department to execute ideas, solutions and recommendations into systems and processes supporting the focus of the department and company.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Support the Supply Chain Optimization manager as needed.

  • Assist in coordination of processes between the Logistics department, and Customers, Carriers, and Distribution Centers.

  • Precise, timely, and professional communication with personnel in various departments.

  • Identify opportunities and complete data analysis using MS Excel

  • Support existing business processes and assist in development of documented procedures

  • This description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions, it does not proscribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned

Projects

  • Support Customer Over, Short, Damaged and Returned claims processing, including documentation gathering and reconciliation

  • Assist in communication and coordination between Transportation Operations, Transportation Planning, Distribution Centers and Freight Finance, in the areas of shipment/load recovery, freight accessorial approvals, and shipment tracking status.

  • Assist in implementation of the shipment visibility tool ‘Four Kites’ and creation of documented procedures for system maintenance.

  • Learn and provide staffing support to the Delivery Appointment and Rescheduling processes across transportation flows in the supply chain.

Education

  • Actively enrolled in an accredited Undergraduate/Graduate Program, in Supply Chain, Business, Agricultural Business Management, Economics, or a related field.

Skills / Abilities

  • Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Ability to calculate figures and analyze data

  • Experience working effectively within and without formal lines of authority to accomplish goals.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Strong communication and influence attributes,

  • Proven track record of personal accountability and success throughout their academic and professional career

Salary Description

$17.50 - $21.50/hour
