Anderson Equipment Company Human Resources Generalist in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania

Anderson Equipment Company is currently seeking a qualified Human Resource Generalist to join our team at our Bridgeville office. The Human Resource Generalist will play a pivotal role in managing diverse functions within the Human Resource department, encompassing compensation, benefits administration, leave management, reporting, and the oversight of company policies.

The ideal candidate for this role possesses a demonstrated proficiency in Human Resources, with a comprehensive understanding of benefits administration, compensation structures, reporting mechanisms, and employee training initiatives. A successful HR Generalist should exhibit qualities such as patience, compassion, excellent listening skills, and the ability to effectively multitask.

Responsibilities: 

  • Leave Policy Administration - Receive and process employee requests for various types of leaves. Verify eligibility and ensure compliance with company policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employees' leave balances. Document leave requests, approvals, and any related communications. Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate processing of leave-related adjustments.

  • Education and training – Ensure mandatory training and continuing education is complete and documented, including safety training, code of conduct and handbook training, anti-harassment training and certifications required. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, changes to regulations, new technology breakthroughs in HR, talent, and employment law.

  • Benefits – Assist employees with benefit programs and all leave requests. Work closely with the Human Resource team on the annual Open Enrollment period. Comply with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Employee relations – Manage all details and coordination of disciplinary discussions, terminations, and investigations. Guide the leadership team on sensitive or complex matters and elevate to the appropriate staff when investigations are required. Ensure professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.  

    Requirements: 

     

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field required.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • A minimum of three years of experience in Human Resources

  • Ability to display integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times

  • Strong knowledge of laws and regulations

  • Proficient in HRIS and talent management systems
