Robert Half Attorney/Lawyer in Atlanta, Georgia

Description

We are in search of an Attorney/Lawyer to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves managing a variety of contracts, such as vendor, construction, employment, equipment purchase, software/technology, and government/regulatory contracts. The successful candidate will be expected to facilitate a swift contract turnaround time to ensure efficient operations within our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate contract processes, including the review, negotiation, and finalization of various types of contracts.

• Collaborate with procurement and contracts administration teams to ensure contracts are in line with our terms before legal review.

• Use standard templates as a guide, but apply critical thinking and legal expertise to tailor contracts to specific situations.

• Work in a team of attorneys to ensure the smooth running of the legal department.

• Utilize the Simpler system (formerly Meditrac) to track contract progression from procurement to legal and throughout the process.

• Conduct thorough reviews and negotiations with vendors seeking to do business with us.

• Utilize skills in Health & Health Care Law and Contract Negotiation.

• Ensure all contracts are in perfect condition before they reach the General Counsel for final review and signature.

• Work with multiple business units and handle a high volume of contracts without allowing work to linger.

Requirements • Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Admitted to practice law in the state where the job is located.

• Demonstrated expertise in Health & Health Care Law.

• Proven experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.

• Ability to negotiate contracts in a manner that protects the organization's interests.

• Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and integrity.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with developments in the field of law.

• Must be a team player with a client-focused approach to work.

• Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings or court appearances.
