Aerotek Maintenance Electrician in Athens, Tennessee

Hello!

My name is Rob Stevens. I am a Skilled Trades Recruiter for Aerotek in Chattanooga, TN. I am looking for driven Industrial Maintenance Techs with strong electrical abilities who are looking to grow with a desirable company in the Athens, TN area. Listed below are some details about the positions and some required skills, along with some preferred skills:

Maintenance Technician

  • Manufacturing company that makes metal automotive components using industrial presses, welders, and other metal manipulation and fabrication equipment

  • Transfer and progressive dies for presses

  • About 70% 480v electrical work, 30% mechanical work

  • Preventative and reactive maintenance

  • Support supervisors and engineers in ensuring the equipment is running quality parts

  • Complete job responsibilities in compliance with industry safety standards

  • Troubleshooting issues with machinery and equipment, diagnosing problems, and fixing breakdowns as quickly as possible

  • Working with servo motors and variable frequency drives

  • Working with electrical cabinets - troubleshooting, wiring, replacing drives, relays, contacts, etc.

  • Troubleshooting quality defects

  • Part repair and replacement

  • Hydraulics and pneumatics

  • Reading blueprints and schematics

  • Start-up and shutdown of equipment via HMI units

  • Change production settings of computer to different speeds, temperature, heights, placements and things specific to each product

  • Using precision measuring tools for quality assurance and/or machine component alignment

  • Using PLCs to troubleshoot processes and fault codes

  • Robotics maintenance - mechanical and electrical, troubleshooting, rehoming and recalibrating robotic arms, etc.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Industrial maintenance

  • Manufacturing machine set-ups, changeovers, and troubleshooting

  • Mechanical and technical adjustments to manufacturing machines for set-ups, changeovers, troubleshooting, and quality assurance

  • HMI usage

  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Preventative and reactive maintenance

  • Mechanical and 480v electrical maintenance

  • Reading blueprints and schematics

  • Working with servo motor driven equipment

  • Electrical cabinet maintenance

  • Using electrical meters to troubleshoot issues

  • Using precision measuring tools for quality assurance - calipers micrometers, gauges

Preferred Skills:

  • Automotive manufacturing experience

  • Working with industrial press machines

  • PLCs - troubleshooting, locating faults, resets, reading ladder logic, making parameter and/or minor program adjustments at machines, etc.

  • Robotics - troubleshooting, mechanical/electrical work, servo motors, rehoming and recalibrating robotic arms, etc.

  • Rewiring electrical cabinets

  • Replacing drives, relays, contacts, fuses, inverters, etc.

Pay: $30-$34/hr base rate, PLUS $1 shift premium when moved to 3rd shift after training

Shifts: 3rd - roughly 11:00pm to 8:00am, but will train on 1st shift for a few weeks starting out

Schedule: Sunday night through Thursday night

Weekly hours: probably 55-65 hours a week
