Production Control Specialist III - Data Analyst

BASIC FUNCTION SUMMARY

·Responsible for the Recurring Work Program (RWP), or Preventive Maintenance (PM), and the In-service Work Plan (IWP).

·Coordinates work planning and scheduling issues with the Operations Engineering planners/estimate.

·Coordinates and schedules work requests (AF332) with PAE shops and the AF customers.

·Oversees the Production Control Section with responsibility for developing, monitoring and managing all work requests. Ensures all costs and labor are properly accounted for in the IWIMS/ACES system. Coordinates work schedules with the Operations Manager and ensures work requests are routed to the proper shop.

·Responsible for overseeing the CE Work Request process from initial receipt, through the Work Request Review Board (WRRB), to the scheduling and production control phase. Presents work order requests to the WRRB and records board determinations.

·Responsible for preparing reports associated with production control, RWP/PM, and the small contract program. Prepares production reports and presents findings to PAE and AF management.

·Monitors status of work awaiting materials or scheduling. Works closely with the Operations Engineering Department to ensure timely completion of all maintenance work.

·Responsible for overseeing quality control activities within operations. Works closely with the Quality Management Department and conducts process inspections and assessments.

·Responsible for training production control specialists and the service request dispatchers on all aspects of their areas of responsibility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Receives work requests for Civil Engineering support. Performs quantitative data and trend studies to assist PAE management oversee cost, work performance, productivity, and efficiency.

  • Manages the RWP/PM process and provides non-technical computer management assistance.

  • Determines classification of work. Coordinates with engineering and environmental departments to prepare and execute PAE plans and programs.

  • Determines complexity of work and if formal planning or engineering design is required.

  • Logs and routes the work request to planning, material purchasing, or to the proper shop.

  • Tracks the work orders until completion.

  • Ensures all labor and material charges are properly documented.

  • Routes work requests for large projects to the Engineering Services branch for design and accomplishment. Directly supports the dig permit process and ensures compliance with PAE & AF directives.

  • Prepares reports for the PAE management team, the section supervisors, and selected AF leadership.

  • Develops and supervises the production control specialist and service order dispatcher training program. Evaluates performance in conjunction with the Quality Management Section.

  • Provides courteous service to all customers.

  • Other assigned duties as needed to support the customer.

  • May be responsible to learn functions of TRIRIGA Interface.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

·Must have a minimum of an associate degree in one of the following disciplines: (a) business administration; b) operations management.

·Must have at least 3 years of experience working in a military environment and familiarity with Air Force Civil Engineering guidance, rules, and regulations.

·Must possess strong organizational skills. Must have strong analytical skills.

·Must be capable of developing reports from various data sources including IWIMS, ACES, and TRIRIGA.

·Must have 5 years’ experience operating IWIMS and ACES programs or similar production control programs. Military experience may be substituted.

·Must have working knowledge of computer systems and software programs. Must be capable of preparing reports in various written and slide formats that will be presented to PAE and AF leadership.

·Must possess excellent oral, written, and communication skills. Must be capable of presenting reports and presentations to PAE and AF leadership.

·Must have the ability to address a wide variety of audiences. Must be able to give clear direction to subordinate production control clerks and service request dispatchers.

·Strong attention to detail and ability to execute on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

·Must have the ability to deal with the customer and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.

·Must have the ability to work extended periods of times on a computer. Must read, write, speak, and understand English.

·Must be computer literate to include Microsoft office products and the IWIMS and ACES programs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Physical Demands:

This classification's activities range from, an office environment with extensive sitting demands to a sys­tem maintenance environment with extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands. May occasionally be required to lift objects whose weight exceeds 30 pounds. Special vision abilities to perform this job are close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment:

The diversity of work conditions may range from an office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort to a field environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards. May be required to work a flexible work schedule and alternating work days to meet mission and customer requirements.

LICENSING, CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid state driver’s license

  • Security Clearance may be required.
