Role Overview
The Lead Product Designer is responsible for leading the creation and development of innovative and visually appealing products that meet the needs of the target market and align with the company's brand and business objectives. You will lead a team of passionate designers and closely collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, marketers, and other stakeholders, to create compelling and user-centric design solutions. The Lead Product Designer will use their creative and technical skills to design, prototype, test, and iterate on products, ensuring that they are user-friendly, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. Responsibilities
Design Leadership: Provide creative direction and leadership to the design team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Set the design vision for our products , aligning with overall company goals and user needs. Mentor and coach team members to elevate their skills and capabilities
Product Strategy: Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand business goals and user requirements. Translate business objectives into design strategies, ensuring alignment with market trends and user expectations.
Product Design: Create visually appealing and functional product designs that meet user needs, business goals, and technical requirements. This may include sketching, wireframing, prototyping, and creating detailed design specifications.
User-Centric Design: Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points, and use that knowledge to inform the design process. Create intuitive and seamless user experiences that enhance usability and delight users
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, marketers, and other stakeholders, to ensure that the product design aligns with the overall product strategy, business objectives, and technical constraints.
Prototyping and Testing: Create prototypes and conduct usability testing to gather feedback and insights, and iterate on designs accordingly. Use data and user feedback to continuously improve the product design.
Documentation: Create detailed design specifications, style guides, and other documentation to guide the implementation of the product design by development teams.
Requirements
Has a strong portfolio showcasing high-quality, thoughtful UI/UX.
More than 5 Years of industry experience as a senior designer
Must have worked with a product and engineering team or led a team to build and ship products that have gone live.
A passion for building great products and experiences.
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and visual).
Expert knowledge of design tools, processes, and principles from education and/or experience
Strong collaboration skills and eagerness to learn and grow
Not required, but a plus: Experience working on a B2B product
Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently
Ability to take on more responsibilities and support projects
Experience building prototypes
Understand the strategic thinking behind a digital product
Is open to constructive feedback, both giving and receiving
Is a team player, who likes to do their design work together with cross-functional team members rather than independently
